When Jean moved to Waukesha, finding a church was at the top of her to-do list.
She knew through experience that church involvement is an essential part of maintaining an active, meaningful and balanced life. In her heart, she also knew she needed the ready-made comfort of an open, supportive church family.
Today...just a year-and-a-half later...you would think that Jean was born and raised at St. Bartholomew's. In us she found a church large enough to be involved in some very significant ministries, without giving participants the feeling that the activity will die if they take time out. Yet, St. Bartholomew's is small enough that single people like Jean don't become just a face in the crowd. When she needs to be out of town on a Sunday, she is missed...and she likes that.
Rumblings at work mean another move might be in the offing. For the first time in a long time, Jean is thinking about ways she can stay put.
